For such a young country, the United States has become home to innovative technology, people of various backgrounds, sports teams worshipped like religions, and much more.

 

Your exchange student has likely already gleaned their own impression of America from Hollywood films, social media, and their experience thus far residing in the country. We’re here to fill in the gaps with a few fun facts about America that many of its own citizens don’t even know!

1.  The flag of the USA consists of 13 stripes representing the 13 original colonies.
